WHAT IS ROUNDTABLE YOU ASK?

Roundtable is a monthly fun-filled and informative supplemental training held every month designed to give adult leaders the skills and ideas needed to deliver an exciting Cub Scout program to the boys.

Do you sometimes feel that you are not receiving all the information that Council is giving out? There may be a simple solution to your problem; attend Roundtable! All Council information is given out at this monthly meeting. Wouldn't you rather see money go into the program rather than mailings every time something comes up in Council. I know what you are saying, "Oh great, another meeting."

Roundtables are very informative and can be used as an asset to your unit. In the future, please try to send someone from your unit to monthly Roundtables. The information gap will dramatically shrink if you do.

The purpose of Roundtable is to help leaders succeed by providing useful program ideas, information on policy, leadership training, and current information on upcoming Council events and training opportunities. Roundtables are the best way to find out what's going on!

Equally importantly, Roundtable is an evening of fellowship, sharing and support for all leaders and interested adults. And that makes Scouting fun.

Roundtable is set around the monthly program theme. The general format is:

• Theme Opening Ceremony

• Local & District Announcements

• Theme Advancement Ceremony

• Games, Crafts, Songs and Fun, all Theme related

• Break-out into Boy Scout and Cub Scout groups for discussion

• Theme Closing Ceremony
