HUBBARD H.S. MARCHING BAND CHOSEN

FOR WASHINGTON, D.C. PARADE

The Hubbard H.S. Marching Band has been chosen to march in the 2004 National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, D.C. on April 3, 2004. The band was selected following a lengthy application process which included videos, photos, letters of recommendation and resumes of recent band appearances. The nationally televised parade will be viewed by over 100,000 spectators along the parade route in downtown Washington, D.C.

Congratulations to the members of the Hubbard Marching Band.

 


HUBBARD MUSICIANS CHOSEN FOR
OMEA, DISTRICT 5 HONORS BANDS

Congratulations to the following Hubbard musicians who were chosen to be members of the OMEA District 5 Honors Bands.

From Reed Middle School: Megan Luthern - Flute and Nicole Zipay -Percussion.   They will play in the Middle School Honors Band.

From Hubbard High School : Philip Fry - Oboe, Randy Trumphour and Scott Killian - Trumpet, Kyle Patrick - Baritone and Brandon Paul - Percussion. They will be a part of the High School Honors Band. Both groups will be presenting concerts on Saturday, Nov. 8th at Y.S.U. as part of the OMEA District 5 Winter Conference. District 5 is made up of schools in Ashtabula, Trumbull and Mahoning Counties.

The Middle School Band will play at 1:30 P.M. and the High School Honors Band will play at 2:30 P.M. in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center. Congratulations to these fine musicians from the Hubbard Schools Instrumental Music program.
